  • Riser Planks: These are made of extruded aluminum alloy, measuring 1 inch by 6 inches. They also have a clear anodized finish and are placed under each row.

Key Features:

1. 1. Load Accommodation:

      • All seat and foot planks are designed to accommodate a uniformly distributed load of 200 pounds per linear foot (plf) across a 6-foot span.
      • The maximum allowable deflection for these planks is 9/16 inch.

   2. Live Load:

      • Apart from their weight, the bleachers are engineered to support a live load of not less than 100 pounds per square foot (Prop Load Factor; psf) based on the gross horizontal projection of the bleachers.

   3. Wind Load Resistance:

      • Regardless of the presence of a live load, the bleachers are designed to resist horizontal wind loads.
      • The specified wind load is 30 psf based on the gross vertical projection of the structure.

   4. Sway Forces:

      • In addition to the live load and wind load, the bleachers are also designed to withstand sway forces.
      • These forces include:
        • 24 plf of seat plank acting parallel to the length of the seat.
        • 10 plf of seat plank acting perpendicular to the length of the seat.

   5. Structural Integrity:

      • Under rigorous testing, the stresses experienced by the aluminum members and connections do not exceed the limits specified for Building Type Structures by the Aluminum Association.

The bleacher guardrail system protects all three sides and comes in two options:

• • • chain link or vertical picket construction. The chain link railing consists of 1-5/8” anodized aluminum tubing with end caps at straight runs and elbows at corners. All railing components are securely attached to angle rail posts using galvanized fasteners.
    • Tie-down assemblies feature a 4-way adjustable aluminum clip, along with galvanized nuts, bolts, and washers at each connection point. The 2", 9-gauge galvanized chain link fencing is affixed using galvanized fittings and aluminum ties.
    • The top of the railing sits 42" above the center of any adjacent seat. Importantly, the guardrail system maintains no openings larger than 4" at any location more than 30" above grade, including the triangular region beneath the seat formed by the tread and rise.
